Kathryn Beam Counseling
Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Early Parenthood Therapist in Greensboro & Across North Carolina
Welcome - I’m so glad you’re here.
Whether you’re navigating infertility, pregnancy, or the early days of parenthood, you don’t have to carry this alone.
Your whole life you’ve been told how smart, capable, and put-together you are.
Now, with a new baby in the mix, it feels impossible to keep up with the standards you—and others—have always held. You knew this transition would be a challenge at first, but you didn’t realize the toll it would take on your relationships, your confidence, or your sense of self.
You deserve a space where you can be honest about what you’re feeling, without judgment. Everyone deserves support, understanding, and care as they move through this season of life.
Are you ready to lean into your transition to motherhood with confidence and self compassion?

Hi, I’m Kathryn!
I’m a Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist who helps high achieving postpartum women learn to set boundaries and prioritize their own needs without guilt.
Therapy with me feels like being truly seen. Like you can lay it all out on the line, without judgment. I strike the balance between compassionate, gentle, and caring while still challenging you on where you need to grow, and the ways you’re showing up that can keep you stuck.
You may be afraid of your big feelings, but I’m not. I’ll be right there with you as you dig deep into this new understanding of who you are, where you came from, and who you are becoming.
You can do this. You are not broken. Reaching out is one step closer to feeling like yourself again. Through compassionate support and integration of evidence-based techniques, such as CBT, Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, we’ll work on reducing anxiety, recognizing patterns, processing emotions, and building resilience to help you thrive.
